Functional Description
NS4159 is a 5W high-efficiency mono audio amplifier with switchable AB/D working modes, anti-distortion function, ultra-low EMI, no filter required. The AB/D working mode can be switched between high and low levels through a control pin to match different application environments. Its unique anti-distortion function can effectively prevent the output signal distortion caused by input signal overload and battery voltage drop, and can effectively protect the speaker from damage during high-power output. In practical applications, the amplifier can be set to work in anti-distortion mode and normal mode through software one-line pulse. Even in the D-class working mode, NS4159 uses advanced technology to greatly reduce EMI interference within the full bandwidth and minimize the impact on other components. Its output does not require a filter PWM modulation structure and built-in feedback resistor reduce external components, PCB area and system cost. NS4159 can provide up to 5.5W output power to a 2Ω load at a working voltage of 5V.
NS4159 has built-in over-current protection, over-heat protection and under-voltage protection functions, which effectively protect the chip from being damaged under abnormal working conditions. And the new circuit design is fully optimized by using spread spectrum technology, and the efficiency of more than 85% is more suitable for low-voltage, high-power output audio systems.
The NS4159 is available in an eSOP8 package and is rated for operation over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range.
