Steam switch usually looks like this
When we press the steam switch, the circuit starts to connect the heating plate and heat up. The indicator light The water will be heated slowly. There is a butterfly-shaped bimetallic strip inside the steam switch. When the water in the kettle boils, steam of about 100°C will be generated. The steam will pass through the pipe and reach the steam switch. The butterfly-shaped bimetallic strip of the steam switch will be deformed by the heat and cut off the power supply. Stop heating
Anti-dry-burn switch is also called thermostat
The anti-dry-boil switch is fixed at the bottom of the kettle. This is a normally closed switch, which is usually in a closed state. The operating temperature of the anti-dry-boil switch is different from that of the steam switch. Its operating temperature is about 100 degrees. It will not disconnect until the temperature reaches 100 degrees. If the steam switch fails and the power supply cannot be cut off in time, the water will continue to be boiled dry and the bottom of the kettle will overheat. When the temperature of the bottom of the kettle is higher than 100 degrees, the butterfly bimetallic strip of the anti-dry-boil switch will be deformed by heat.
This will cut off the power supply to avoid burning the kettle's anti-dry-burn switch. The contacts are more likely to deform after long-term use, resulting in a power failure. At this time, they must be replaced.
