This is a stereo audio amplifier circuit that will provide 12W of audio power output on each channel. The circuit is built on a single IC TDA1521 or TDA1521Q and supports a small number of external components. A universal power supply can be used to operate this amplifier circuit, recommended voltage: 24VDC (asymmetrical).

The TDA1521/TDA1521Q is a dual high-fidelity audio power amplifier in a 9-pin plastic power package.

This device is designed for powering applications such as stereo TV sound and stereo radio. A heat sink is required to protect the IC from overheating.

This Hi-Fi Stereo Power Amplifier is designed for mains powered applications. The circuit is designed for both symmetrical and asymmetrical power supply systems. An output power of 2 x 12 Watts (THD = 0,5%) can be delivered to an 8 W load with a symmetrical power supply of ? 16 Volts.


The gain is internally fixed at 30 dB. The internal gain fixing provides low gain extension and very good balance (0, 2 dB) between the amplifiers. A special feature of the device is the mute circuit which suppresses unwanted input signals during switch-on and switch-off.
