Hesai and Meituan reached a strategic cooperation
Recently, Hesai Technology, a world-leading LiDAR company, and Meituan have reached a strategic cooperation. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation and exploration in the field of automatic delivery in the next four years. According to the agreement, Hesai will supply Meituan's automatic delivery business with a variety of LiDARs including long, medium and short range for a long time, and promote the large-scale implementation of Meituan's automatic delivery solution.
The two parties held a cooperation ceremony at Meituan. Li Da, business director of Meituan's autonomous vehicle delivery department, and Lu Wei, vice president of global business development of Hesai, signed and exchanged agreements on the spot. Xia Huaxia, vice president of Meituan and general manager of the autonomous vehicle delivery department, and Li Yifan, co-founder and CEO of Hesai, witnessed the official launch of the strategic cooperation between the two parties.
It is understood that Meituan launched the automatic delivery vehicle project as early as 2016. Based on Meituan's rich scenarios, it explored the implementation of autonomous driving capabilities in urban terminal logistics scenarios. As of September this year, Meituan's automatic delivery vehicles have reached 100 units, and more than 100,000 real orders have been delivered on public roads.
