Working principle of explosion-proof solenoid valve
1) Direct-acting explosion-proof solenoid valve
Principle: When the power is on, the electromagnetic coil generates electromagnetic force to lift the closing piece from the valve seat, and the valve opens; when the power is off, the electromagnetic force disappears, the spring presses the closing piece onto the valve seat, and the valve closes.
Features: It can work normally under vacuum, negative pressure and zero pressure, but the diameter generally does not exceed 25MM.
2) Distributed direct-acting explosion-proof solenoid valve
Principle: It is a principle that combines direct acting and pilot type. When there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, after power is turned on, the electromagnetic force directly lifts the pilot small valve and the main valve closing part upward in turn, and the valve opens. When the inlet and outlet reach the starting pressure difference, after power is turned on, the electromagnetic force pilots the small valve, the pressure in the lower chamber of the main valve rises, and the pressure in the upper chamber drops, so that the main valve is pushed upward by the pressure difference; when the power is off, the pilot valve uses the spring force or the medium pressure to push the closing part downward to close the valve.
Features: It can also work under zero pressure difference or vacuum or high pressure, but the power is large and it must be installed horizontally.
3) Pilot-operated explosion-proof solenoid valve
Principle: When power is on, the electromagnetic force opens the pilot hole, the pressure in the upper chamber drops rapidly, and a pressure difference with low top and high bottom is formed around the closing part. The fluid pressure pushes the closing part to move upward, and the valve opens. When power is off, the spring force closes the pilot hole, and the inlet pressure quickly passes through the bypass hole to form a pressure difference with low bottom and high top around the closing valve part. The fluid pressure pushes the closing part to move downward, closing the valve.
Features: The upper limit of the fluid pressure range is relatively high and can be installed arbitrarily (needs to be customized) but must meet the fluid pressure difference conditions.
The role of explosion-proof solenoid valve
The coil shell of the explosion-proof solenoid valve not only has the flameproof function of withstanding the gas explosion pressure, but also has a blocking effect on the transmission of gas explosion energy, and has higher safety performance. It is a special solenoid valve series product specially designed for transmitting flammable and explosive media or dedicated to explosive hazardous places. Different environments and fluids should choose solenoid valves with different explosion-proof levels.
