Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK), one of the world's largest industrial automation, information and digital transformation companies, recently launched FactoryTalk® Logix Echo controller simulation software, which can effectively optimize machine performance, help machine designers save time and costs, and speed up product launch. FactoryTalk Logix Echo simulation software can work with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix® 5580 series controllers to further empower machine design.

With FactoryTalk Logix Echo simulation software, engineers can fully test control code in a virtual environment. The software supports up to 17 simulation controllers, which can simulate a single machine, a single production line, or even an entire factory. These simulation controllers can also be used in conjunction with other software for a variety of purposes. For example, users can connect simulation controllers to mechanical system models through Emulate3D™ digital twin software to perform tests and experiments without the use of large physical equipment. At the same time, operators can connect simulation controllers to training simulator software to receive training on new machines and understand their real-time responses before the machine enters the field.

FactoryTalk Logix Echo software’s user interface adopts a modern design, which makes the overall experience simpler than existing simulation software. For example, users can easily switch between design and simulation without changing the program.

FactoryTalk Logix Echo software is the latest addition to Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk DesignSuite portfolio, which consolidates engineering and design elements into a standard framework so engineers can use the same tools, languages and resources to build or modify their systems.
