Lu Wengang said that in fact, the impact of V2G technology on battery life is minimal, but the benefits it brings to car owners are real. A BYD Tang EV600D owner told reporters that the car's ternary lithium battery capacity is 82.8kWh, that is, a full charge is about 82 kWh, and the current charging facilities are priced at 0.617 yuan/kWh during the peak period during the day and 0.307 yuan/kWh during the trough period in the second half of the night. The car has a driving range of 500 kilometers. Generally, less than 100 kilometers are used every day for activities such as commuting to get off work. About 80% of the remaining 400 kilometers can be sold to the power grid. Even if it is calculated at 70%, the power is 57.4kWh. In theory, the car owner can get 17.8 to 20.3 yuan in income every day; the cumulative income in a year can reach 6497 to 7409.5 yuan.

Yang Jianping said that V2G technology not only has the function of "peak shaving and valley filling", but can also provide electricity in emergency situations such as electric vehicles breaking down on the road, encountering natural disasters, and power grid supply accidents. Its advantages are more prominent.
As of now, the total number of new energy vehicles in China has approached 5 million, and with the implementation of the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)", the number of new energy vehicles will increase significantly. The pressure on power supply caused by traditional charging methods and the advantages of V2G itself have laid the foundation for the commercialization of V2G. The China Electric Vehicle Hundred People's Association also suggested that the access conditions for electric vehicles to participate in the power market should be clarified as soon as possible, and the diversification of implementation entities should be encouraged. At the same time, the market mechanism for vehicle-grid interaction should be gradually improved to form a win-win business model for multiple entities such as power grid companies, electric vehicle owners, and charging operators.
"V2G technology can effectively reduce the electricity cost of new energy vehicles, and has a practical role in vigorously developing new energy and helping to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality. With the resolution of problems such as cars, charging piles, and networks, consumers' consumption concepts will definitely change. If coupled with policy support and the forced effect of international competition, the pace of V2G's commercialization will definitely accelerate." Qin Xiaopeng said.
