Not long ago, China Media Group, China Mobile and Huawei jointly completed the industry's first 5G+8K ultra-high-definition video cross-provincial transmission test.

It is reported that 8K UHD live broadcast has four times the resolution of 4K UHD live broadcast, presenting the guests with extremely smooth transmission speed, as well as colorful and detailed picture quality comparable to oil painting. After testing, China Mobile took advantage of the flexible uplink and downlink time slot ratio of the 4.9GHz network to meet the 240Mbps network requirement of 8K live broadcast, making important technical verification and solution reserves for the future maturity of 8K technology.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to the efforts of terminals and operators, promoting the development of 5G+8K ultra-high-definition video also requires the assistance of upstream and downstream manufacturers in the supply chain.

BOE recently revealed on an interactive platform that it has established the China Ultra High Definition Video Industry Alliance with 42 companies including Huawei, China Unicom, China Mobile, Tencent, and Baidu. BOE said: "We will do our best to work with our alliance partners to open up the 8K industry chain, promote the scale growth of the 8K market, and share broad market opportunities."
