Recently, Wuxi Moxin Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Moxin Semiconductor") and Arm Technology (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Arm Technology") reached a cooperation. Moxin Semiconductor will develop and provide high-security and high-real-time processor chips based on Arm® Cortex® -R52 and higher-end Cortex-R series platforms, combined with its own excellent technical research and development capabilities, to meet the urgent needs of the automotive market for high performance, high reliability and safety control functions.

Founded in November 2021, Moxin Semiconductor is a potential unicorn enterprise in Jiangsu Province. The company is headquartered in Wuxi and has R&D centers in Shenzhen and Chengdu. Moxin Semiconductor has a number of independent intellectual property rights and has successfully passed a number of automotive certifications. The company strictly follows the ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety process system and specifications, and is committed to creating the underlying support chips for the development of the "new four modernizations" of automobiles, focusing on automotive-grade real-time processors (RP, Real-Time Processor). The products cover domain controllers, regional controllers, subsystem controllers, fused sensors and actuators, and other automotive core control application scenarios. Together with OEMs and Tier1, it has fully launched the E/E architecture upgrade of the entire vehicle, helping the "new four modernizations" of automobiles enter an acceleration period.

Zhao Yongchao, head of the smart IoT and automotive business line at Arm Technology, said: "The Arm architecture has now become the mainstream architecture for in-vehicle computing chips and is favored by domestic and foreign automotive electronics manufacturers and has become their first choice. We are very pleased to cooperate with Moshin Semiconductor, which has selected the Arm Cortex-R52 with significant energy efficiency, excellent performance and powerful functional safety features, as well as the more advanced Cortex-R series platform for research and development, which can meet the automotive industry's rapidly growing demand for functional safety and real-time design flexibility. We look forward to further deepening technical cooperation between the two parties in the future, jointly developing more competitive high-performance automotive chip products, and promoting the vigorous development of the automotive industry ecosystem based on the Arm architecture."
