On April 25, Horizon Robotics released the Journey 6 series chips on the 24th, including 6 chips for low, medium and high-level intelligent driving applications.
Horizon Robotics' Journey 6 series has launched six versions, including Journey 6B, Journey 6L, Journey 6E, Journey 6M, Journey 6H, and Journey 6P, which are applied to different intelligent driving scenarios. The Journey 6 series chips realize highly integrated "four-core in one", and a single chip supports full-stack computing tasks for intelligent driving, greatly improving the system cost performance.
Among them, the Journey 6B chip cooperated with Sony to develop the world's first 17-megapixel high-performance forward-looking perception solution with a maximum detection distance of 450 meters; the Journey 6E/M chips have computing powers of 80TOPS and 128TOPS respectively, and are aimed at high-speed NOA and inclusive urban NOA; the Journey 6P chip is suitable for all-scenario intelligent driving, with a computing power of 560TOPS.
Horizon founder and CEO Yu Kai said that Horizon Journey 6 series will start delivering the first pre-installed mass-produced model in 2024, and is expected to achieve mass production and delivery of more than 10 models in 2025.
Yu Kai revealed that the Horizon Journey 6 series already has 10 first-batch mass production cooperation car companies and brands, including SAIC Group, Volkswagen Group, BYD, Ideal Auto, GAC Group, DeepBlue Auto, BAIC Group, Chery Automobile, Xingtu Auto, Lantu Auto, etc., as well as many Tier 1 (first-tier automotive suppliers) and software and hardware partners.
