On April 25, the world's power battery giant CATL recently released the Shenxing PLUS battery, which is also the world's first lithium iron phosphate battery with a range of 1,000 kilometers. It also supports 4C ultra-fast charging and can replenish 600 kilometers in 10 minutes.
CATL has innovated in two aspects: materials and structure. The CATL's Shenxing PLUS battery uses independently developed three-dimensional honeycomb materials to improve the energy density of the negative electrode and control the volume expansion during charging and discharging.
At the same time, the first integrated shell structure greatly improves space utilization. The battery system is optimized based on CTB 3.0, with volume efficiency increased by 7% and energy density reaching an astonishing 205Wh/kg.
The Shenxing PLUS battery supports 4C fast charging, which allows it to charge in 10 minutes and have a range of 600 kilometers, truly realizing "1 kilometer per second". It is a significant improvement over the Shenxing Supercharger battery (charging in 10 minutes and having a range of 400 kilometers).
In addition, the battery also uses technologies such as ultra-high cooling efficiency high-voltage box, AI intelligent polarization model BMS algorithm to ensure the safety of the battery.
CATL owns one of only three lighthouse factories in the world in the lithium battery industry. It only takes one second to produce a battery cell. It uses 300 CCDs, medical-grade X-rays and CT scans to check for tiny defects and potential "lesions", thus nipping threats in the bud.
It is worth mentioning that at the press conference held today, CATL announced the official launch of the Shenxing Supercharging Network, working with Huawei, Star Charging, Shudao New Energy, and Cloud Fast Charging to build the country's largest supercharging service platform and launch the industry's first Shenxing car owner club.
