Recently, Yutong Group and its partner, the famous battery manufacturer CATL, jointly launched the industry's first long-life super-energy battery. They claim that the battery will not lose capacity after 1,000 charge and discharge cycles. At the same time, they also provide a warranty of up to 15 years/1,500,000km. If it can be used in an electric car, the battery may still have good performance when you change your car.
Earlier, Yutong Group held the "Yutong New Energy Commercial Vehicle Full Series New Product Launch Conference". In addition to launching new products at the conference, they also released new battery technology. Through cooperation with battery giant CATL, they brought the industry's first high-safety, long-life super-energy battery. This battery is said to have zero attenuation in the first 1,000 charge and discharge cycles, and has a cycle charging number of up to 10,000 times. Yutong also provides vehicles equipped with this battery with a warranty of up to 15 years/1,500,000km, ensuring that customers can use it with peace of mind.
Yutong Group's main business is commercial vehicles, and this new battery can meet the needs of different commercial vehicle models such as buses, light trucks and heavy trucks. According to the official introduction, this new battery can effectively reduce the operating costs of commercial vehicles and help companies effectively improve operating profits. In addition, the new super-energy battery has the characteristics of multi-layer fire protection and high-strength anti-collision. It can be extremely fireproof for 30 minutes at a temperature of 1300°C, and it is also waterproof for up to 72 hours at 2m underwater. In addition to its ultra-long service life, it also has multiple safety guarantees.
Although this new long-life super-energy battery is currently only installed in Yutong’s commercial vehicles, if CATL can transfer the technology used in commercial vehicles to passenger vehicles in the future, I believe it will also bring revolutionary changes to passenger car batteries. It can be foreseen that as the technology matures, future batteries will be longer-lasting and more durable, which will definitely be a great boost to the popularization of electric vehicles. If battery life is not a problem, would you choose an electric car?
