China's passenger car ADAS market has entered a "replacement" cycle of computing solutions (chips), and local Chinese chip manufacturers including Black Sesame Intelligence are aggressively "grabbing the market."
On March 14, Dongfeng Yipai’s first model, the Zhiya electric coupe eπ007, was officially launched. As an innovative landmark of Dongfeng Motor's entry into the smart electric vehicle market, eπ007 not only has new breakthroughs in appearance design, power performance, etc., but also adds many selling points in terms of intelligence. It is called the first in the medium and large sedan market by the industry. "King of Rolls".
It is understood that eπ007 is equipped with the Black Sesame Smart Huashan® No. 2 A1000 car-grade high-performance autonomous driving chip. With the support of 58TOPS computing power, it can fully support L2+ high-end intelligent assisted driving, including high-speed NOA, LAPA beyond visual range memory parking car and other functions.

According to official information, eπ007 is equipped with a high-computing intelligent driving system based on the Huashan No. 2 A1000 chip. The entire vehicle is equipped with 31 intelligent sensing hardware, which can automatically complete intelligent driving such as following cars, autonomously changing lanes, and ascending and descending ramps. functions, bringing drivers a safer, more convenient and comfortable car experience.
Behind this, high-end intelligent driving represented by NOA has entered a period of explosive growth and is rapidly penetrating from luxury cars to mid- to low-end models. This has also driven intelligent driving computing solutions to enter a period of market change.
According to data from the "High-tech Intelligent Automotive Research Institute", from January to December 2023, 12.3806 million new cars with standard ADAS for passenger cars (excluding import and export) in the Chinese market were delivered, and the installation rate rose to 58.63%. Among them, L2 and above increased by 36.97% year-on-year, and NOA high-end intelligent driving nearly doubled year-on-year.
Against this background, since last year, many self-branded facelift models have been undergoing local substitution and upgrade of intelligent driving system suppliers. Among them, the Huashan No. 2 A1000 chip, as the first high-performance mass-produced autonomous driving chip in China, can support the latest BEV algorithm and has now become the mainstream choice for cost-effective integrated parking and parking intelligent driving solutions.
For example, Geely Automobile, Lotus, Desay SV, Joyson Electronics and other OEMs and Tier1 have created autonomous driving solutions or domain control platforms based on single or multiple A1000 chips. Currently, Huashan No. 2 A1000 is in full mass production. Mass-produced models include Lynk & Co 08, Hechuang V09, Dongfeng eπ007, etc.
It is understood that the Dongfeng Yipai eπ007 launched this time is the first model to be launched in cooperation with Dongfeng Motor and Black Sesame Intelligence. In the future, Black Sesame Intelligence and Dongfeng Motor will continue to jointly develop new smart travel scenarios.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that for cross-domain computing scenarios, Black Sesame Intelligence has also launched the first chip of the Wudang series, C1200, which is based on the 7nm process technology. A single chip can simultaneously support NOA, smart cockpit, and data exchange processing capabilities. , supporting the industry to reduce development difficulty and development costs through cross-domain integration.
During CES 2024, Black Sesame Intelligence officially unveiled the C1200 family mass production chip models, including C1236 that supports single-chip NOA travel and parking, and C1296 that supports multi-domain integration.
Entering 2024, whether it is a new round of "price wars" launched by major car companies this year or the rounds of layoffs by global auto parts giants, it indicates that the pressure to reduce costs in the entire automotive industry chain is further increasing. The supply chain system is undergoing huge changes.
The Gaogong Intelligent Automotive Research Institute believes that domestically produced cost-effective SoC computing solutions represented by Black Sesame Intelligent A1000 and C1200 will continue to benefit from the continued positive impact of new car regulations, cost reductions and efficiency gains, and the overseas market. It is expected that domestic SoCs will continue to benefit in 2024. The market share of computing solutions is expected to exceed 15%.
