Application technology | EMB brake force sensor
Application field: Intelligent chassis
Product Description:
① Sensata Technologies' EMB braking force sensor is a further exploration and application promotion of new packaging and fields based on existing technologies.
②EMB braking force sensor is based on the piezoresistive effect of MSG technology and uses glass micro-melted strain gauges to sense force signals. Through the wire binding process, each node on the strain gauge is connected to the corresponding node on the electrical signal processing module with anti-corrosion aluminum wire to achieve electrical connection. This electrical signal processing module converts the pressure signal into the required numerical output, with faster signal transmission capability and stronger anti-interference strength.
③The EMB braking force sensor can provide the ECU controller with accurate and stable braking force signals under the harsh environment of high temperature and high vibration at the brake caliper. Under the condition of system functional safety requirement ASILD, the sensor fully meets the requirements of ASILC.
Unique advantages:
①EMB system stands for electronic mechanical brake system. As the next generation brake system solution, its advantages over the current hydraulic brake system are: simple structure, space saving, faster braking response, easier to meet advanced autonomous driving, etc.
②In the EMB system, the role of force sensors is particularly important. Sensata Technologies' EMB braking force sensor can accurately detect the braking force at the caliper of the EMB system, and feed back the braking force information to the ECU controller through SENT output to form a closed-loop control.
③As an indispensable core component of the EMB system, the EMB braking force sensor plays a key role in the research and development and trial production of the EMB system.
④ Sensata Technologies' EMB braking force sensor has the advantages of high precision and high reliability, which can ensure the safe and efficient operation of the braking system.
Application scenarios:
EMB braking force sensors are used in wire-controlled brake systems to improve braking response, shorten braking distance, and reduce vehicle weight and transmission loss, which will promote the development of autonomous driving technology.
Future prospects:
①The EMB braking force sensor is independently developed and manufactured by Sensata Technologies and jointly developed with internationally renowned brake system manufacturers. It is planned to be mass-produced in 2025.
② As the automotive industry's recognition of the EMB system increases, and advanced autonomous driving has increasingly stringent requirements for the braking system, the EMB system will become the mainstream braking system for passenger cars in the future (estimated to be 2026). After Sensata Technologies' EMB braking force sensor goes into mass production in 2025, it will be able to meet the needs of continuous upgrading and optimization of the braking system.
