On December 12, GAC Aian announced the completion of the Inpai Battery Smart Ecological Factory, and at the same time, the full-stack self-developed and self-produced P58 microcrystalline super battery was offline.
According to reports, the P58 microcrystalline super battery is the latest product of the magazine battery 2.0 series. It adopts GAC’s own lithium iron phosphate technology. The battery life can reach 1.5 million kilometers, the number of cycles exceeds 4,000 times, the energy density of the whole package is 146.5Wh/kg, and the battery life is The mileage is 700km+, and it can achieve military-grade safety. The whole package of guns will not catch fire.
It is reported that the Inpai Battery Smart Ecological Factory is manufactured by Inpai Battery Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of GAC Aian. According to the plan, the factory plans to build a 36GWh mass production line by 2025. In the early stage, it will mainly support enterprises within Aion and GAC Group, and will expand to external markets in the future.
Weike.com Lithium Battery noted that GAC Aian stated that in 2026, all-solid-state batteries will be mass-produced at the Inpai production line and will be the first to be installed on Haopin brand models.
In fact, GAC Aian has been in the battery field for many years. In 2021, it launched power battery technologies such as magazine batteries, super speed batteries and sponge silicon negative electrode batteries.
GAC Aian said that with the completion of the Inpai Battery Intelligent Ecological Factory, GAC Aian’s energy ecological closed loop has ushered in the last piece of the puzzle, and has fully connected upstream minerals, raw material processing, battery swap stations, charging stations , energy storage stations, clean energy, The layout of the energy ecological industry chain including battery application and recycling.
It is worth mentioning that in the raw material link, GAC Aian has reached strategic cooperation with upstream material terminal suppliers Ganfeng Lithium Industry , Hanrui Cobalt Industry, etc. Moreover, Ganfeng Lithium also invested in GAC Aian last year.
Since last year, GAC Aian has actively promoted its listing plan. In October last year, GAC Aian announced the completion of Series A financing, totaling 18.294 billion yuan, setting a record for the largest single private equity financing in the domestic new energy vehicle industry. After this round of financing, GAC Aian’s valuation soared to 103.239 billion yuan.
The soaring valuation has drawn more attention to the listing of GAC Aian. This year, company executives have also mentioned IPO listing issues many times. According to the response from GAC Group Chairman Zeng Qinghong in September, the specific listing time of GAC Aian will depend on the review progress and capital market conditions.
