As an industry-leading developer and manufacturer, ZF’s control-by-wire systems do not require mechanical connections:

Compact, lightweight 800-volt drive system
ZF has launched the future-oriented 800-volt electric drive system EVSys800 at the end of June to warm up for the Munich Auto Show. EVSys800 is a modular 800-volt drive system consisting of silicon carbide power electronics, motors and reducers. While the design of the ZF EVbeat concept car is extremely compact and lightweight, its performance is not inferior: the maximum torque of the rear axle is 5200 Nm, which is converted into a torque density of 70 Nm/kg, which is extremely high for a passenger car. of. The continuous output power of the car's electric motor is about 75% of the peak power, reaching 206 kilowatts and 275 kilowatts respectively.
In terms of size, thanks to the compact reducer and the patented "braided winding" technology of ZF electric motors, the width of this drive system is reduced by 50 mm, allowing coaxial installation on the drive axle, saving space.
With a total weight of 74 kilograms, the EVSys800 has the same power output as current ZF production 800-volt series drive systems, but is approximately 40 kilograms or 30% lighter.
