8-lead DFN and 8-lead SOP packages
FeRAM is a non-volatile memory product that has higher read/write endurance, faster write speed, and lower power consumption than EEP ROM and flash memory. FeRAM has been adopted by customers who are dissatisfied with the specifications of conventional non-volatile memory.
Since 2017, Fujitsu has been offering automotive-grade FeRAM products from 64Kbit to 2Mbit, which operate up to 125°C at 3.3V or 5V power supplies.
However, some customers require FeRAM to operate at voltages lower than 1.8V, such as 1.7V, especially for advanced
automotive electronics
control units
that require low-power electronics
. We are pleased to announce that the 2Mbit FeRAM product MB85RS2MLY meets this requirement.
MB85RS2MLY guarantees 10 trillion read/write cycles over the temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. This feature is optimal for certain applications that require real-time data logging. For example, if data is logged every 0.1 seconds per day for 10 years, the number of writes exceeds 3 billion.
Furthermore, the product's reliability testing complies with AEC-Q100 Grade 1, which is a qualification requirement for products called "automotive grade." Therefore, from the perspective of data writing durability and reliability, the MB85RS2MLY is guaranteed to be usable in applications such as ADAS that require real-time data logging.
The MB85RS2MLY is available in an industry-standard 8-pin SOP package, allowing it to easily replace existing EEPROMs with similar packages. It is also available in an 8-pin DFN (Dual Flat No-Lead) package measuring 5.0 x 6.0 x 0.9mm.
Fujitsu Semiconductor Memory Solutions Ltd. will continue to provide memory products and solutions that meet the future needs and requirements of the market and customers.
