On August 29, Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of the first IHSR high-temperature inductor that meets the AEC-Q200 standard: Dale IHSR-6767GZ-5A, which uses a 6767 case, measures 19.0 mm x 17.1 mm x 7.0 mm, and has a rated current of 155 A.

Designed for multiphase, high-current power supplies and input/output filters in automotive under-the-hood and ADAS applications, the Dale IHSR-6767GZ-5A offers 50% lower DCR than typical power inductors and is smaller in size than similar ferrite-based solutions.

This automotive-grade inductor is optimized for energy storage in DC/DC converters and high-current filtering applications up to 5 MHz, and its operating temperature can reach +155 °C, making it suitable for filtering and DC/DC conversion in ADAS and LIDAR microprocessors, 12 V/48 V vacuum-free brake systems, OBCs, and 140A brushless DC motors. For the above applications, the IHSR-6767GZ-5A's low typical DCR of 0.24 mΩ and 0.22 µH inductance can achieve higher current density than competing products, without hard saturation over the entire operating temperature range, and with more stable inductance and saturation.

The inductor is packaged in a 100% lead (Pb)-free shielded composite structure that reduces buzzing noise to ultra-low levels, has high resistance to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical shock, and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation. The device is RoHS-compliant, halogen-free and Vishay Green.

Currently, samples of IHSR-6767GZ-5A are available on the market and in mass production, with a lead time of 16 weeks.
