Hyundai Mobis has launched a new generation of parking control system, according to a press release. The Mobis parking system features narrow space assist, reverse assist, remote automatic parking assist, etc. The parking control system uses data from 12 ultrasonic sensors and 4 cameras. These new features are added to existing features such as Parking Collision Avoidance Assist (PCA-R), 3D Surround View Monitor (SVM), and Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), which are already available on some mass-produced models.

This semi-automatic parking function is particularly helpful for parking in narrow spaces. The narrow space parking assist function requires the rearview mirror to be turned on. When using the parking assist function, the driver only needs to press a button, and when the driving route is recorded to a certain distance, the vehicle can automatically reverse out of a narrow alley; the system can create a reversing line by tracking the driving route. Hyundai Motor said that a memory parking assist system and an automatic valet parking system, which are expected to be put into use in 2023 and 2025 respectively, are also under development. It is reported that Hyundai Mobis applied to the US Patent and Trademark Office for a car headlight system with an integrated camera in December last year, which will also help promote the application of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
