Design engineers can take advantage of Murata's leading solutions for optimizing electric vehicle infrastructure
Maximizing Charging System Performance
Shanghai, China, March 25, 2022 – Farnell element14, a global distributor of electronic components products and solutions under Avnet, now stocks Murata electric vehicle (EV) fast charging solutions.
Murata is a global leader in optimizing electric vehicle infrastructure, focusing on the research and development of reliable and durable products for cutting-edge charging systems.
The addition of the Murata series further enriches the product portfolio of element14 for the development and manufacture of electric mobility systems, including:
• DLW Series Common Mode Chokes (CMCCs) for Signal and Power Lines: Design engineers can use the DLW Series CMCCs to reduce common mode noise issues in differential transmission for automotive and EV charging applications. The DLW Series chokes feature a low profile design and ultra-high self-resonant frequency to achieve high cutoff frequencies for high-speed differential lines for signal lines. The DLW Series for power lines also offers high current (up to 6A) for AC adapter input connectors and is available in a variety of sizes.
• MGJ1 Series DC-DC Converters : These converters are ideal for powering the “high side” and “low side” gate drive circuits of IGBTs and SIC FETs in inverters. The MGJ1 series features ultra-low isolation capacitance, 3kVDC continuous barrier withstand voltage, characterized CMTI >200kV/µS, characterized partial discharge performance, and supports the selection of asymmetrical output voltages for optimal drive levels for best system efficiency. The MGJ1 is also suitable for medical and factory automation applications.
• DK1 Series Y1 Capacitors: These capacitors are ideal for all AC-DC switching power supplies where a low profile design is required and leaded capacitors are too large. The DK1 reduces the terminals and achieves a mounting height of less than 2.5mm by mounting plate-shaped terminals on a disc-shaped ceramic dielectric within a plastic mold. These safety-certified capacitors can be placed at the power line input to eliminate common noise found in commercial AC power lines. The DK1 Series capacitors can also be used in compact AV equipment, LED lighting, and 1U rack-mount equipment.
Simon Meadmore, Vice President Product and Supplier Management at Farnell and element14, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a wide range of EV fast charging solutions from Murata. Not only will we be stocking Murata’s extensive product portfolio, but we will also be providing a number of value-added services, such as dedicated online application guides, to help engineers accelerate time to market and maximise application performance.”
Murata is a global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of ceramic passive electronic components and solutions, communication modules and power modules. It is committed to the research and development of advanced electronic materials, cutting-edge electronic components and multifunctional high-density modules. Murata's series of EV charging and power solutions, connection modules, sensors and passive components are widely used in the transportation, communication equipment, healthcare, industrial and consumer electronics markets.
Murata’s innovative electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging solutions are now available for immediate delivery from Farnell (EMEA) and element14 (APAC).
