ANDOVER, Mass. — Vicor Corporation today announced the appointment of Chinmaya Joshi (“CJ”) as Global Automotive Business Director. Chinmaya joins Vicor from Jaguar Land Rover Group where he served as Senior Manager, Drivetrain Power Electronics.
Chinmaya has deep automotive industry experience, having led DC-DC converter design and development teams for hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle platforms for more than 10 years. His primary role at Vicor is to support OEM customers, Tier 1 suppliers and automotive system partners with high-density modular electrification solutions.
Patrick Wadden, Global Vice President of Automotive, said: "We will address the electrification of various vehicles through a robust OEM and Tier 1 supplier channel, and the addition of Chinmaya brings strong backup to our global automotive team."
Chinmaya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering (Semiconductor Physics) from the College of Engineering, Pune India, and a Master of Science degree from Cornell University.
