On January 4, ACEINNA, a developer of inertial navigation systems for autonomous vehicles, announced the launch of the INS401 INS and GNSS/RTK solution for precise positioning of autonomous vehicles. The INS401 solution is part of ACEINNA's new product portfolio, which provides high-precision and high-integrity positioning for developers and manufacturers of ADAS and Autonomy solutions for all types of autonomous vehicles.

INS401 is a state-of-the-art, high-performance inertial navigation system with a dual-frequency GNSS receiver supporting RTK, triple redundant inertial sensors and positioning engine. Designed for L2+ and higher ADAS and other high-volume applications that require precise position information, the system provides centimeter-level accuracy, enhanced reliability and superior performance during GNSS outages. This dead reckoning solution delivers robust performance in GNSS-challenging urban environments.

INS401 is developed for automotive applications using automotive qualified components and is ISO26262 ASIL-B certified. The compact, turnkey solution in a rugged aluminum housing includes everything you need to design and develop a powerful navigation system, but its flexible platform can be easily customized to accelerate time to market. INS40 also includes an "Integrity Engine" that guarantees zero performance failures.
“ACEINNA has a decade-long history in ADAS and safety applications and is well positioned for current and future autonomous driving applications,” said Wade Appelman, President and COO of ACEINNA. “The INS401 is the next step in our journey to deliver sophisticated INS/RTK technology to the mass market in a turnkey product. This high-precision INS solution would typically cost over $10,000, but our product is less than $500.”

The ACEINNA team has been established for more than 20 years. By integrating inertial sensors into fully calibrated and qualified IMUs and inertial navigation modules, the ACEINNA team has successfully created best-in-class sensors and sensor solutions for a variety of demanding customer applications in the fields of industrial and automotive safety and control. Teoman Ustun, Vice President of Marketing at ACEINNA, said: "We are currently expanding our proven solutions to the entire range of autonomous vehicle applications, from Level L2 to Level L5 (SAE). Starting with INS401, we will bring complex INS/RTK technology to the mass market with turnkey solutions."
