CATL will authorize Hyundai Mobis to use CTP technology through the signing of the agreement

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CATL") and Hyundai Mobis (hereinafter referred to as "Mobis") signed a technology licensing and cooperation intention agreement. According to the agreement, CATL will authorize Mobis to use CTP (Cellular Toy Story) technology and support Mobis' supply of CTP-related battery products in South Korea and around the world.

CTP technology is characterized by efficient integration and is a technology that can integrate cells into battery packs without modules. Using CATL's CTP technology can improve the system energy density of battery packs, simplify the manufacturing process, and save costs.
This technical cooperation will help strengthen the international market competitiveness of both parties. CATL and Mobis will work together to develop more valuable products for the global electric vehicle market. This cooperation has also created a new model of international technical cooperation in the industry, expanded the global application of CATL's innovative battery technology, and will contribute to global electrification.
