"Some people don't quite understand why there are no subsidies for hydrogen refueling stations, but this is precisely testing the comprehensive capabilities of each demonstration operation city. The operating companies and urban management departments must consider and do the math on how many stations to build and how many cars to accommodate, to avoid the situation in the past where charging stations are built but there are no cars to charge," revealed Gong Jun.
As for the hydrogen energy industry, which is still in the early stages of exploring industrialization models, many companies related to the industry chain also hope to explore market-oriented directions at the initial stage of investment, achieve "de-subsidization", and avoid the situation where new energy vehicles are overly dependent on subsidies.
"The scale of application promoted by the government is always limited. If hydrogen energy cannot explore a commercial model, it will be difficult to achieve rapid development. Only by introducing social capital through hydrogen energy + finance can the scale of the industry expand rapidly," said Zhang Yinguang.
However, he also suggested that the country could provide long-term guiding policies from the perspective of environmental protection and energy security, rather than relying solely on demonstration periods and demonstration cities for promotion, so as to give the entire industry greater confidence.
