According to foreign media reports, at CES 2020, Comma.ai launched the latest version of its assisted driving hardware (suite) - Comma Two, which has a more friendly interface and is easier to install. The hardware has a front camera, similar in size to a smartphone, which can be mounted on the car windshield to display the road conditions ahead and highlight the current lane, speed and speed limit information.

To activate Comma Two, you first need to download Openpilot, a free, open-source software that allows many Acura, Chrysler, Honda, Jeep, Kia, Subaru and Toyota models to accelerate, brake and stay in their lane without driver intervention.

To start Comma Two, just press the "Set" button on the car's built-in cruise control system. Comma Two is powered via OBD-C, not battery power, and the new system plugs directly into the car via two hidden wires. In addition, it has a larger base and a custom fan hardware cooling system for use in hot summer days. Comma Two also uses two infrared sensors instead of RGB sensors, which can recognize the driver's face even at night, and the driver can control the car at any time by lightly pressing the brake or accelerator pedal.

Other Comma Two highlights include front and rear cameras, a fourth CAN bus connected to the OBD-II port, and a low-power mode. In addition, the kit also uses cellular networks to connect to the Internet and works with the existing Comma Prime subscription service, providing a year of storage space.

Currently, the Comma Two is priced at $999 on the Comma.ai website, and the first batch of products will be shipped on January 20.
