The system is calledThe Atlas inspection system uses multiple high-resolution cameras to capture defects on the vehicle's exterior, damage to the vehicle after production, missing components or other quality-related issues. Atlas is capable of generating thousands of images per second from multiple angles and can detect scratches or dents as small as two millimeters in diameter.

Most recently, the company announced that its Atlas assembly-line inspection system will be installed at Volvo's large Swedish assembly plant next year.

UVeye notes that its proprietary algorithms, cloud architecture, sensor fusion, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies allow it to automatically inspect a vehicle’s chassis components, suspension systems, sheet metal and tires in seconds.

Other products currently offered by UVeye include:

Helios – an underbody scanning system that can catch issues like frame damage and fluid leaks, as well as brake and exhaust system problems;

Artemis – Camera-based technology that automatically verifies tire specifications and checks tire wear and quality, including issues such as pressure, tread wear and sidewall defects.

Initially developed for the security industry to detect weapons, explosives, illegal drugs and other contraband, UVeye’s deep learning technology is now deployed in hundreds of high-security locations around the world and has completed millions of vehicle scans.

At the 2020 CES,UVeye will not only have its own booth, but will also have a booth at Honda's CES booth as part of Honda's Xcelerator program.

“We are excited to be exhibiting at Honda’s CES Xcelerator,” said Amir Hever, CEO of UVeye. “UVeye’s AI-powered vehicle inspection system is designed to help OEMs work more efficiently, supporting manual work and producing vehicles faster without compromising quality standards. Participating in Honda’s Xcelerator program is the latest step in our long and fruitful relationship with the manufacturing industry, and this collaboration with Honda is UVeye’s sixth with a major automotive OEM.”
