Gas waist wheel flow meter installation
1. There are two ways to install the gas rotor flowmeter, namely horizontal installation and vertical installation (vertical installation is recommended). When the flow meter is installed vertically, the medium inlet end needs to be above, and the airflow flows from top to bottom. This installation makes the rotor self-cleaning of dirt; when installed horizontally, the axis of the inlet and outlet ends of the flow meter must not be lower than the axis of the pipe. , to prevent dirty impurities in the medium from staying in the measurement chamber of the flow meter and affecting the normal speed.
2. During installation, a filter or screen (120-200 mesh) must be configured upstream of the flow meter to improve the purity of the medium.
Precautions for installation of gas waist wheel flow meter
1. It is strictly prohibited to weld the pipe flange of the flow meter online.
2. Impurities in the pipeline must be removed before installing the flow meter (special attention should be paid to removing impurities in the front elbow of the flow meter when installing vertically) to avoid foreign matter entering and damaging the flow meter. The inner wall of the pipeline should be clean and free of scale.

4. During installation, the seals must not protrude into the pipeline, and there is no deviation between the inlet and outlet axis of the flow meter and the axis of the connected pipeline by visual inspection.
5. When the flow meter is installed horizontally, it is recommended to install a steel expansion joint (compensator) after the flow meter. The expansion joint must comply with the nominal diameter and nominal pressure requirements of the pipeline design. (The expansion joint is used to compensate for pipe stress and facilitate the installation and disassembly of the flow meter)
6. After the installation is completed, unscrew the screw plug above the synchronization gear, then insert an equivalent hex wrench into the synchronization gear, turn the rotor, and check whether the waist wheel rotates freely. If the rotation is restricted, the instrument should be dismantled, cleaned of dirt, and then reinstalled. After the waist wheel rotates freely, tighten the screw plug.
7. The red and yellow warning signs should be retained on the flow meter.
8. When the flow meter is installed for outdoor use, it is recommended to add a protective cover to prevent rainwater infiltration and scorching sun exposure from affecting the service life of the flow meter.
9. There should be no strong external magnetic field interference or strong mechanical vibration around the flow meter.
10. The flow meter must be reliably grounded, but it must not be shared with the ground wire of the strong current system.
11. There should be no gas corrosive to aluminum alloy at the installation site.
12. When external power supply or wiring is required, it must be carried out in accordance with the requirements in the manual of the corresponding correction instrument, otherwise the instrument may be damaged or safety problems may occur.
Precautions for use of gas waist wheel flow meter
1. Do not loosen the fixed part of the flow meter at will.
2. In order to prevent damage to pipelines and instruments caused by instantaneous airflow impact, when the flow meter is put into operation, the front valve should be slowly opened first, and then the rear valve should be slowly opened, and run at a small flow rate for 1 to 2 minutes. After the meter is running normally, all the valves should be opened again. When closing the valve, you should first close the valve slowly and never close it suddenly to avoid damaging the flow meter.
3. When resetting the emergency shut-off valve after emergency closing, it must be done with the valves before and after the flow meter closed.
4. The flowmeter housing is equipped with a temperature sensor protective cover, and the temperature sensor can be directly disassembled and assembled.
5. The pressure sensor can be equipped with a three-way protection valve. The function and use of the protection valve:
(1) When using a flow meter, users should note that the pressure overload value of the flow meter is 1.5 times the upper limit pressure of the pressure sensor. Therefore, before testing the pressure of the pipeline, the lead seal of the pressure protection valve should be opened, the outer screw plug should be unscrewed, and the inner screw plug should be tightened with a hexagonal wrench. At this time, the pressure can be tested.
(2) After the pressure test, reduce the residual pressure and then withdraw the internal screw plug. Then screw in the external screw plug. As shown in Figure 11, apply the lead seal. During online calibration, the pressure sensor can be calibrated online without disassembling the pressure sensor, replacing the external screw plug with a special screw plug and connecting it to the pressure gauge. Tighten the internal screw plug. After calibration, restore and seal again.
