How to Improve Power Conversion Efficiency and Reduce Power Consumption
– Select active devices with the lowest losses (such as new power semiconductors)
–Measure input and output power
–Measure power loss and compare to expected results for each device
–Try changing the device to see if the loss decreases
–Try to change the circuit topology design to see if the efficiency improves
– Repeat the above process several times, trying small improvements until the product specification is met
