In industry, flow meter is a flow measuring instrument, and electromagnetic flow meter is also a type of flow meter. Generally speaking, different types of electromagnetic flow meters are used in different occasions.
1. In the metallurgy, papermaking, sewage treatment and other industries, electromagnetic flowmeters are generally separated and large-diameter flange-connected; while in the biomedicine, chemical and other industries, small-diameter, integrated clamp-mounted connections are more commonly used. Different fields require different specifications of electromagnetic flowmeters.
2. In the food hygiene, medicine and other industries, the electromagnetic flowmeter sensor is required to be easy to disassemble, so that it is also convenient to clean and sterilize it regularly with steam. Therefore, in the sanitary industry, the electromagnetic flowmeter must meet the sanitary specifications.
3. The instruments used in the channel are submersible, mainly used in industrial drainage and sewers. They rely on the power of the hoist to carry out related drainage work. At the same time, the sensor of the electromagnetic flowmeter should be installed under the baffle of the open channel and should not be immersed in water for a long time.
4. In some special places, such as some explosion-proof occasions, the instrument needs to have good explosion-proof and flame-proof performance. In these occasions, the energy of the excitation current is very large. Electromagnetic flowmeters can be divided into airtight type, diaphragm type and sand-filled type. With the rapid development of science and technology, the power of the excitation current has dropped a lot, so the most common flowmeter in explosion-proof occasions is the safe spark type, which is composed of the flow sensing part and the conversion part, and is mainly used in dangerous areas.
