VTISCC1300 is a high-precision three-axis combined gyro and acceleration sensor product. The SCC1300 sensor uses VTI's 3D-MEMS technology. The product integrates the data of the gyroscope and the acceleration sensor and outputs it through the SPI data port. The special manufacturing process ensures the high reliability, super impact resistance and extremely low noise of the product during use. The package is suitable for SMD technology and complies with RoHS and ELV standards. SCC1300 is mainly used in environments that require high stability and harsh environments.
The design, manufacturing and testing of the SCC1300 high-precision three-axis combined gyro and acceleration sensor are based on high quality and high stability. Its angular velocity and acceleration sensors can provide stable output in a wide measurement range and wide temperature range. The stability of the angular velocity sensor is based on the MEMS design process and can adapt to almost all mechanical vibrations. In addition, the product has many advanced self-test functions.
The gyro allows real-time investigation of inclination angles up to 70 degrees from vertical during drilling. The SCC1300 incorporates the new MXY rate gyro, designed and developed in-house at Sensor Equipment. The MXY is the first gyro designed and optimized specifically to meet the rigorous challenges of the oilfield environment, and it is this new gyro that allows such durable, reliable, highly accurate readings to be provided while incorporated into the drilling bottomhole assembly, including many RSS applications.
When the gyro sensors are combined with the new CAP data processing firmware and magnetic sensors, the client receives reliable wellbore location with a second check provided for data redundancy, thereby detecting gross errors. In addition, through a new communications link, the system can now instruct a memory run of multiple holes while disengaging the hole to trace back to surface, providing validation against MWD and GWD performance and confirming wellbore location prior to setting casing.
"The field trials have repeatedly proven the performance of the gyro, far exceeding our most optimistic expectations. Utilizing this new technology, operators are poised to have the most accurate survey results available to them in real time," said Dr. Carolyn, Vice President of gyro applications. "The new gyro application is a viable solution for faster, safer and more precise real-time wellbore position, and these advantages enable you to run error detection when combined with magnetic measurement while drilling sensors."
Field tests conducted in North America and the North Sea showed that the tool is more than ready for use by the industry. In these field tests, the three-axis combined gyro performed admirably in the most demanding conditions, providing the client with the accurate positioning information required.
In oilfield blowout detection, not only gyroscopes and magnetic compasses are used, but also many sensors, such as inclination sensors, pressure sensors, etc., are used to ensure safety.
