When choosing the installation location of a CMM, you should consider the machine type, size, weight, structure, surrounding environment, such as vibration, temperature, suitable hoisting, and auxiliary equipment such as suitable air source and power supply.
1. Temperature and humidity
The most suitable place to install the measuring machine is a room where temperature, humidity and vibration can be stably controlled. It is generally not suitable for direct sunlight. It is best to face north or have no windows, because sunlight affects the indoor temperature and is not conducive to temperature control. In addition, the measuring machine room must be clean, without corrosive dust and peeling paint. The design of doors and windows should take into account the insulation requirements of the machine room and the needs of equipment and parts entering and exiting. Windows should be double windows and equipped with curtains. It is best to set up a transition room in the machine room, and try to avoid arranging it at the corner with two adjacent exterior walls and in places with strong heat sources nearby.
2. The vibration
machine room should not be built in areas with strong vibration sources and high noise, such as: near punching machines, presses, forging equipment, pile drivers, etc.
3. Magnetic fields and electric fields
should not be built near strong electric fields and strong magnetic fields, such as power outage equipment, transformers, EDM machines, frequency conversion furnaces, arc welding and rolling welding machines, etc.; as well as near high dust areas and corrosive gas sources. For harmful gas workshops, they must be arranged upwind of the harmful gas workshops.
4. The space
installation site must have appropriate space, which is convenient for the machine to be in place and various operations under normal working conditions of the machine, and is also conducive to indoor temperature control. The placement of the measuring machine should be convenient for the upper and lower parts and maintenance operations, and it should be beautiful and harmonious. For example: the minimum distance between the measuring machine host and the control system is 600mm, especially the minimum space of about 100mm (or 200mm) should be reserved between the measuring machine and the ceiling of the machine room.
