1. System Overview
The ground network of the original meteorological information system was built earlier, with low equipment performance, low line speed and long time. It is difficult to meet the requirements of data transmission of automatic stations, sandstorms, radars, etc., and it is difficult to meet the needs of comprehensive data transmission; the application of GPRS wireless network in this system solves the problems of small coverage, low speed of satellite network and difficulty in laying and maintaining wired broadband network. Therefore, building a more complete, faster and safer meteorological wireless network monitoring platform through GPRS wireless network can better meet the requirements of atmospheric monitoring project construction of China Meteorological Administration.
2. System Features
1. Short construction period and low cost: GPRS wireless network can provide a simple and efficient communication transmission means for meteorological data collection system. China Mobile GPRS system can provide wide-area wireless IP connection. Building a power remote meter reading system on the GPRS business platform of mobile communication company to realize wireless data transmission of meter data has the advantages of making full use of existing network, shortening construction period and reducing construction cost, and the equipment is easy to install and simple to maintain.
2. Strong real-time performance: Due to the real-time online characteristics of GPRS, the system has no delay and can synchronously receive and process data from multiple/all data collection points without patrol. It can well meet the system's requirements for real-time data collection and transmission.
3. Remote control of meteorological data collection equipment: The GPRS two-way system can also realize remote control of meteorological data collection equipment, parameter adjustment, switch and other controls.
4. Wide coverage: GPRS has a wide coverage, and the control and management of centralized reading can be completed within the coverage of the wireless GSM/GPRS network. Moreover, there is no limit to capacity expansion and access locations, which can meet the access needs of mountainous areas, towns and cross-regional areas.
5. The system has a large transmission capacity: The distribution data center must maintain real-time connection with each meter data collection point. Due to the large number of meter data collection points, the system requires to meet the needs of burst data transmission, and GPRS technology can well meet the needs of burst data transmission.
6. High data transmission rate: The data transmission volume of each meter data collection point is within 10Kbps. The theoretical transmission rate of the GPRS network can reach 171.2kbit/s. At present, the actual data transmission rate of GPRS is about 40Kbps, which can fully meet the data transmission rate (≥10Kbps) of this system.
7. Low communication cost: monthly billing is adopted, and the operating cost is low.
8. The system is easy to expand and maintain.
III. System composition and characteristics
The system mainly consists of three parts: meteorological detection equipment, GPRS DTU (remote data transmission unit module) and meteorological data management center. The meteorological detection equipment has a standard RS232 serial communication interface and GPRS DTU connection. The meteorological detection equipment can send the meteorological data collected by the automatic meteorological detection equipment and the meteorological equipment operation status data to the meteorological data management center in real time or at a fixed time. The meteorological data management center can also transmit control commands to the meteorological detection equipment through the GPRS network. In this way, the query and collection of current meteorological data, the inspection of meteorological detection equipment and the control of the front-end meteorological detection equipment by the data center can be realized. 1. When there is data, the meteorological data processing software will interpret the data and classify and process it according to various meteorological elements (wind direction, wind speed, temperature, rainfall, humidity, air pressure, etc.).
After completion, the entire meteorological GPRS information transmission system has achieved interconnection and sharing, laying a solid foundation for the improvement of the meteorological information system.
