1. In industrial measurements, the straight pipe length of the turbine flowmeter is generally required to be 20D upstream and 5D downstream, so as to ensure the accuracy. At the same time, installing a rectifier at the upstream end can eliminate the problems of uneven flow velocity distribution and secondary flow, so that the measurement accuracy can reach the accuracy level during calibration.
2. If necessary, a degasser should be installed upstream of the flowmeter. For liquids that are easily vaporized, a certain back pressure must be guaranteed downstream. In this way, air or steam will not enter the flowmeter, thereby ensuring that the liquid passing through the flowmeter is single-phase.
