In order to ensure the normal operation of the metal rotor flowmeter and achieve the required measurement accuracy, the following points should generally be noted:
the metal rotor flowmeter must be installed vertically, the fluid flows through the flowmeter from bottom to top, and the verticality is better than 2°. When installed horizontally, the horizontal angle is better than 2°; the metal tube float flowmeter installed on the process pipeline should be bypassed so that the production will not be affected when handling faults or flushing; the metal rotor flowmeter should have a straight pipe section of more than 5 times the pipe diameter at the inlet and a 250mm straight pipe section at the outlet to ensure the measurement accuracy of the instrument; if the medium contains ferromagnetic substances, a magnetic filter should be installed; if the medium contains solid impurities, consideration should be given to adding a bypass between the valve and the straight pipe section. Install filters between pipe sections; when used for gas measurement, the pipeline pressure should be no less than 5 times the pressure loss of the flowmeter to ensure stable operation of the float; if the temperature of the measured medium is higher than 220℃ or the fluid temperature is too low and crystallization is easy to occur, thermal insulation protection measures should be taken, and the jacket type should be selected for cooling or heat preservation; the pipeline flange, fasteners, and sealing gaskets must be the same as the flowmeter flange standards to ensure normal installation and operation of the instrument. After the normal operation of the general device of this product, no maintenance is required. Failures often occur when the device is just started. Due to the unclean flushing of the pipeline, the float is stuck by solid particles, and the pointer of the indicator stops at one position. The instrument for measuring gas is calibrated at a specific pressure. If the gas is discharged directly into the atmosphere at the outlet of the instrument, a pressure drop will occur at the float and cause data distortion. If this is the working condition, a valve should be installed at the outlet of the instrument. For instruments with LCD display, metal rotor flowmeters should be installed to avoid direct sunlight on the display as much as possible to avoid reducing the service life of the LCD.
