NXP x Shanghai Jiao Tong University: The results of school-enterprise cooperation have been implemented, helping to accelerate the cultivation of innovative talents in China!

In 2019, the School of Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University plans to build a teaching development and student innovation center, aiming to concentrate high-quality resources to establish an interdisciplinary and multi-functional collaborative innovation environment for students and explore new school-enterprise cooperation practice models. Taking this opportunity, NXP, as one of the donating companies, supported the School of Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to establish a "Student Science and Technology Innovation Laboratory" to help cultivate compound talents.

At present, NXP has successfully carried out the "Science and Technology Innovation Training Camp" for students in the Innovation Center, and invited NXP's global business executives and other industry experts to give a series of lectures combining theory and practice for students, which received enthusiastic responses from students. In the future, NXP will also organize a series of lectures and practical activities on popular applications such as artificial intelligence, drones, and edge computing for graduate and undergraduate students.

NXP has always insisted on combining its own technological advantages with China's industrial innovation and academic research resources to help Chinese industries cultivate integrated talents for the era of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, and promote the development and implementation of cutting-edge applications through the integration of industry, academia and research.

Based on this concept, NXP has cooperated with many leading universities in China. In 2017, NXP and Tianjin University carried out school-enterprise cooperation around the construction of new engineering disciplines, and established the four-year "NXP New Engineering Undergraduate Experimental Class" to cultivate new scientific and technological talents in the field of artificial intelligence. In 2018, the Soochow University-NXP Semiconductors Collaborative Innovation Center was established to continue exploring new models of industry talent training and school-enterprise cooperation.
