Based on the introduction of the architecture of the remote fault diagnosis and maintenance system based on the Internet, the method of using OPC and XML technology for low-level data collection and information integration is studied, and the functions of the remote professional maintenance center are explained. The proposed implementation technology and the designed system architecture are feasible and effective for solving remote fault diagnosis and maintenance. With the rapid development of communication technology and automatic control technology, remote monitoring and diagnosis systems of different types of equipment have begun to emerge. The remote fault diagnosis and maintenance system mainly combines the rapidly developing Internet technology with traditional diagnosis technology, gives full play to the advantages of the Internet\'s rapid information transmission and rich resources, combines the site, maintenance center and experts, and establishes a dynamic fault detection and maintenance system. It mobilizes various resources in a short time to quickly, timely and correctly diagnose and repair systems and equipment. Manufacturers avoid setting up service departments in various places or sending corporate employees to provide on-site services, thus reducing maintenance costs, shortening maintenance cycles and realizing information sharing [1]. Therefore, the remote fault diagnosis and maintenance system can provide users with fast and convenient services and is becoming more and more popular among users. This paper describes the structure, functions and workflow of a remote fault diagnosis and maintenance system based on Internet, as well as the implementation method of solving the key problems of data acquisition and information integration by using OPC (OLE for Process Control) and Extensible Markup Language XML (Extensible Markup Language) technology.
