The working principle of the laser radar gate control system based on AT89S52 is introduced, and the implementation methods of the system hardware and software are discussed in detail. The system uses AT89S52 single-chip microcomputer as the core, and is configured with digital potentiometers, photoelectric couplers, monostable triggers and other components to control the gate switch time of the photomultiplier tube, so as to achieve real-time regulation of the start and end points of the laser radar measurement. Laser radar can measure aerosols, carbon dioxide, ozone, water vapor, etc. in the atmosphere with high temporal and spatial resolution, real-time, and over a large range, so it is increasingly valued by environmental protection and meteorological departments. At present, the laser radar technology used for meteorological elements and environmental pollution detection is developing rapidly. Laser radar will definitely play an important role in the detection of atmospheric parameters and environmental pollution. In order to make the measurement range of laser radar as large as possible, the gate switch time of the radar photomultiplier tube (PMT) gate must be controlled to meet the requirements of various measurements. If these problems can be solved well, it will greatly promote the application and promotion of laser radar.
