The detection of sintering zone flame temperature is the key and difficulty of industrial rotary kiln control. The temperature detection based on image processing is easily disturbed by dust and smoke on site. Based on this, a temperature trend discrimination method using fuzzy technology for multi-sensor data fusion is proposed. The types of data to be fused are summarized in combination with the actual situation on site, and a real-time expert system control strategy is established. Industrial practice shows that this method has strong robustness, high accuracy and strong practicality. Some sensor data types for the fusion are drawn with the practical experience. A fuzzy fusion algo rithm based on the data is developed to judge the t rend of rotary kiln′s inner sintering temperature. Real time expert control system is introduced with the fuzzy fusion algo rithm.
