Theoretical and experimental study on the effect of short cables under bounded wave electromagnetic pulse simulator: The theoretical modeling and experimental methods of the effect of short cables under bounded wave electromagnetic pulse simulator were studied. The current response of the cable under the irradiation of bounded wave electromagnetic pulse simulator was calculated based on the transmission line model. A bounded wave electromagnetic pulse simulation test environment was established, with a front time of less than 5 ns and a pulse half-width of about 200 ns. The effect experimental verification study of short cables was carried out, and the measurement and calculation results of the response current at the load end of the short cable were in good agreement, indicating that the application of the modified bounded wave electromagnetic pulse simulator to carry out short cable effect experiments is feasible in theory and experiment. This cable experimental method has the advantages of standardized and uniform electromagnetic field distribution in the effect experiment space, controllable parameter indicators, and mature monitoring technology.
