Abstract: A method for extending the USB interface of a microcontroller-based intelligent instrument is proposed. The structure and performance of the USB interface chip SL811HS and the hardware circuit diagram of the USB interface are introduced, and the design method of the USB interface driver and the structure of the FAT16 file system are analyzed in detail. Using the SCSI transmission command set, data communication between the host and the USB disk device is realized through the BULK-IN and BULK-OUT endpoints. Experimental and application results show that the scheme has the advantages of convenient control, fast transmission speed, stable and reliable storage of data, etc. [Author Abstract]
