XDOCLET is a general code generation utility, an extended JAVADOC DOCLET engine (now independent of JAVADOC DOCLET), XDOCLET is the successor of EJBDOCLET. EJBDOCLET was initiated by RICKARD OBERG. It allows you to use things like JAVADOC tags to add metadata to language features such as classes, methods and fields. Subsequently, it uses these additional metadata to generate related files such as deployment descriptors and source code. It allows you to create your own JAVADOC @TAGS and then use TEMPLET ENGING in XDOCLET to generate source code or other files based on these @TAGS. XDOCLET inherits the idea of the JAVADOC engine and allows code and other files to be generated based on custom JAVADOC tags. Of course, XDCOLET can also install the entire parse tree. In this way, it can access classes, class package structures, and class methods.
