Notice on holding the 5th National College Students \"Freescale\" Cup Smart Car Competition

In order to strengthen the cultivation of college students\' practical, innovative ability and team spirit and promote the reform of higher education teaching, the National College Students Intelligent Car Competition is hosted by the Automation Professional Teaching Guidance Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Automation Subcommittee) of the Ministry of Education, entrusted by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education (Document No. 201 of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education [2005], Appendix 1). The competition is guided by the idea of ​​\"focusing on training, focusing on participation, encouraging exploration, and pursuing excellence\". It is a multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary creative science and technology competition with intelligent cars as the competition platform. It is an exploratory engineering practice activity for college students across the country, covering multiple disciplines such as control, pattern recognition, sensor technology, electronics, electrical, computer, and machinery. It aims to promote quality education in colleges and universities, cultivate college students\' comprehensive knowledge application ability, basic engineering practice ability and innovation awareness, stimulate college students\' interest and potential in scientific research and exploration, and advocate the style of study that combines theory with practice, seeks truth and is pragmatic, and the humanistic spirit of teamwork.
