           Analysis and Design of HID Electronic Ballast:: This paper proposes a HID electronic ballast based on microprocessor control. The electronic ballast adopts active power factor correction. The microprocessor MCU is used as a full-bridge converter, and it also has functions such as \"watchdog\", working temperature monitoring and system protection. This paper analyzes and designs the system. The test shows that the system has strong design functions, reliable system operation, and a power factor of 0.980. Keywords: ballast; microprocessor; power factor correction
