Since the reactive load and line resistance at different locations in the distribution network are different, the effect of installing capacitors at different locations is also different. After studying and analyzing this phenomenon, it is concluded that the best configuration condition for reactive power compensation is to make the reactive economic equivalent of each distribution line (or branch line) equal, whether it is between distribution lines in a radial distribution network or between branches of a distribution line.
