Design and preparation of 200MHz high transmission efficiency thin film transformerA novel microwave ferrite integrated thin film transformer based on silicon IC technology was realized. The ferrite film was prepared by RF magnetron sputtering. The surface morphology of the ferrite film on the SiO2 layer was observed by SEM, indicating that the film was easy to crack; the analysis of the film composition by energy spectrometer showed that the ferrite film had poor adhesion to the SiO2 layer and the Al film. The compatibility problem between the above-mentioned film preparation process and IC process was preliminarily solved by sputtering process parameters and adding heat treatment processes. This new structure of thin film transformer was designed and prepared by standard silicon-based IC process, and the experimental parameters of a group of thin film transformer samples were tested in the frequency range of 20 to 210 MHz. The test results show that for the thin film transformer with a designed turns ratio of 1, a maximum transformation ratio of 79% and good waveform transmission capability can be obtained in the frequency range of 90 to 210 MHz.A novel microwave ferrite thin2film transformer based on Si IC technology was presented.
