DST6156 is a synchronous step-down DC-DC non-isolated converter. Under heavy load conditions, the fixed-frequency current-mode pulse width modulation PWM mode ensures the best dynamic and static characteristics. Under light load conditions, the pulse skipping PSM mode allows portable devices to obtain extremely long battery life. When the input voltage drops to a point where the PWM mode and PSM mode still cannot calibrate the output voltage, the DST6156 will enter the Low-Dropout mode, extending the battery life. The DST6156 input voltage range is 2.5V-6.0V, and it can be powered by a single lithium-ion battery and multiple alkaline, nickel-metal hydride batteries and other power sources. The output voltage range is 0.6V-6.0V, and the maximum output current of 600mA can provide stable power to low-voltage DSP/ARM/CPLD/FPGA/MCU. The low quiescent current of DST6156, 25μA, makes it still highly efficient under light load conditions. The unique anti-EMI technology reduces electromagnetic radiation to a very low range, and the unique fast-response design greatly improves the load regulation and linear regulation. The synchronous switch inside DST6156 eliminates the need for a Schottky diode on the periphery. In addition, DST6156 also has basic functions such as soft start, overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, and overcurrent limitation. DST6156 adopts SOT-23-5 package, which occupies very little PCB space. The suffix code -XXX (ADJ, 1P2, 1P8, 3P3) of DST6156 indicates the output voltage.
