Abstract: A small CT teaching experiment instrument is designed to meet the needs of university physics teaching experiments and scientific research and development. The design principle of the CT teaching experiment instrument system is introduced. In the design, the requirements of miniaturization and safety are taken into consideration. Low-energy 137Cs is used as the γ-ray source, and a single-detector system structure is used. USB interface technology is used for data transmission reliability, which greatly improves the versatility and convenience of the equipment. In the entire design, the performance of the data acquisition system determines the stability of the CT teaching experiment instrument and the accuracy of the image reconstruction data. It is one of the key points of the entire system development.
