Analysis and Improvement of μC-OS-Ⅱ Software Timer Management Algorithm

Abstract: Software timer is a basic software measure commonly used in kernel design and application design. This paper re-plans the timer wheel newly added in μC/OS-Ⅱ V2.86 for managing software timers, and redesigns the processing algorithm, which effectively improves the expiration hit rate of software timers. Verification shows that the new improved algorithm can reduce the CPU load rate by about 9% under the same load.
