Cluster analysis is an important classification method in data mining technology and has a wide range of practical applications. Real classification problems are often accompanied by fuzziness. To classify elements with similar relationships, it is necessary to transform the similarity matrix into an equivalent matrix. To transform the similarity matrix into an equivalent matrix, it is only necessary to require the transitive closure of the similarity matrix. This article applies the transitive closure method of fuzzy cluster analysis to the study of genetic differentiation of biological populations, conducts an example analysis, and gives the implementation process of the transitive closure method of fuzzy cluster analysis and the cluster analysis results. Keywords: fuzzy clustering; transitive closure; similarity relationship; equivalent matrix; genetic differentiation
