The framework of an immersive virtual maintenance simulation system is presented, and its key technologies are studied from two aspects: prototype modeling and interactive technology. The concept of a virtual maintenance prototype is proposed, and its required functions are realized by defining the constrained motion and interactive features of the prototype components, while the interactive technology is mainly focused on grasping and anti-crossing processing. An immersive virtual maintenance simulation prototype system based on the Jack system is established, and a preliminary application verification is carried out using the disassembly and assembly of a certain mechanism as an example.
